Healing touch for stress relief and wellness.

With over 30 years of experience, I am certified and specialize in various modalities including Neruomuscular, Lymphatic, Medical, Cupping, Swedish and deep tissue massage. I am also a reiki master and certified herbalist. My goal is to provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience for every client.

A specialty of massage that applies firm, sustained and controlled pressure to muscles that cause pain. There are five principles to Neuromuscular therapy that we evaluate: postural distortion, biomechanical dysfunctions, trigger points, nerve compression/entrapment and ischemia.
The treatment then targets underlying causes of muscle and nerve pain. It is more focused than a general relaxation massage. The goal is reducing pain and improving function, not just stress relief.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle technique used to help move excess fluid and waste from tissues toward working lymph nodes. A build up of these fluids can lead to puffiness, congested skin and soreness in the body. It is primarily used to treat swelling caused by a clogged lymphatic system from illness or medical treatment. The massage uses light, rhythmic strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system, which can also reduce puffiness, aid post-surgical recovery, and alleviate fatigue. It's doctor recommended for lymphedema and post cancer treatments

Cupping therapy is a form of complementary medicine that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This practice, originating in ancient traditional Chinese medicine, is used to stimulate blood flow, promote lymphatic drainage, and relieve muscle tension. Suction is created either by heating the air inside the cup (fire cupping) or using a mechanical vacuum pump with modern cups made of glass, plastic, or silicone. This vacuum pulls the skin and underlying tissue into the cup, which draws blood to the targeted area. The cups are typically left in place for five to fifteen minutes.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy where a practitioner uses pressure on specific points of the feet, hands, and ears to promote relaxation and a sense of well-being. It is believed to release blockages in the body's energy flow and is often used to help with stress, anxiety and pain. Techniques include using thumbs and fingers for pressure.

Zero Balancing is a bodywork therapy that uses gentle finger pressure, traction, and other subtle movements on key joints of the skeleton to relieve stress and pain, improve posture, and increase flexibility. It was developed by Dr. Fritz Smith in the 1970s, it integrates Western osteopathic and Eastern energy concepts to address both the physical structure and the body's energy flow. Clients remain fully clothed during sessions.

Medical massage is a manual therapy focused on treating specific health conditions or injuries, unlike a relaxation massage. It involves a customized treatment plan based on a client's needs and may be used to address issues such as chronic pain, muscle spasms, headaches, injuries, and restricted movement. Medical massage often focuses on a specific area of the body that needs healing.
